who else hates rap?

i can't stand rap thats all u ever hear rap rap rap, crap. everyone loves it. sometime u think ur the only person that doesn't listen to it. i like alternative and some rock and some pop. but not preppy pop. is there anyone like me?

You know, you really shouldn't write off an entire genre of music just because you don't like the one or two songs you've heard. And saying that rap isn't music is like saying that sculpture isn't art, just because you don't use a paintbrush. i.e. utter ********.
There's plenty of really good hip hop out there (this doesn't include Soulja Boy or Hurricane Chris), like Public Enemy, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Beastie Boys, Clipse, J Dilla, NWA, some Kanye West, De La Soul, Ghostface Killah, Madlib, Outkast, The Roots, the list goes on.
I suggest you listen to some of these before proclaiming that you hate all rap.
And even then, keep your opinion to yourself. No one wants to hear it.
And by the way, i'm a rock fan too, so you can't say i'm too biased.

One more thing: I've said it before and i'll say it again, the whole rap/crap thing isn't clever or funny, it's just lame. How about rock/crock of sh1t? ( i don't agree with that, but it's just as lame as rap/crap).

I like a lot of the music that you like, but I'm not going to say that I hate rap. I love music more than anything, and I would never degrade a genre of music. Rap is most definitely not my thing, but I don't hate it. (Also, I have to admit that I like some preppy pop songs.)

No you are definitely not alone it seems like everyone likes rap because that's the music is popular for the teenage generation now and the people that like that kind of music are the people that like to show it and play it loud. I'll add myself to the list of the people that don't like rap. I hate it, and don't see why anyone would like it. It doesn't even have a tune its just violent words.

I respect early hiphop/rap as I think it was honest. Rap now is dumb, its kind of sad. I have a brother in law who listens to the same crap over and over and it gets stuck in my head. I'm a metal chick :).

i dislike today's rap but there are af ew artists out there that still bring it like back in the day(90's). I can say that I would much rather listen to some bachata, salsa, neo-soul, and R&B. BTW there is that same deal with some R&B artists.

rap is like the hardest thing to listen to. its HORRIBLE. sorry rap fans but i really dont get it. it's not music... its juss some people talking extremely fast to some random background music.

i love alternative bands and rock. Some like all time low, paramore, the almost,motion city sountrack, they're the bessttt.

Right now a lot more people are liking alternative and rock music because paramore just went mainstream and it's all over the radio. You are not alone!

Yes. I can't stand rap. I'm all about Rock and Metal. Rap is the most overrated thing in the world.

I really don't like rap but I LOVE Linkin Park.
Their older stuff has a lot of rap.
I really don't care about rap since its just another form of singing... (not really but kinda)
I don't like hip - hop rap though...
I like Rock Rap
Like rage against the Machine and P.O.D.

Music is like candy...you just have to throw out the rappers. ;)
But yeah, I hate rap, it's really annoying because my mom loves rap and hip hop and feels the need to blare it in the car. I like Linkin Park and there are some rap bits in some of their music but I don't really care, I can tolerate it to that level.
