help on binomial distribution?

Michael says that he has an attendance rate of 95%. in a week at college Michael has 15 lessons

a)Michael says that he can use the binomial distribution to model the number of lessons that he attends in a week. Give reasons why he might be correct

b)assuming that michael is correct, find the mean and standard deviation for the number of lessons that he attends in a week

It's a binomial distribution if (and probably only if) the probabilities are independent.

So frankly, it probably isn't -- if he misses one class, he might take off a whole day from school miss multiple ones (because he's sick or something). So you have to tell a story about why he might be right (e.g., he might miss the morning classes because he's hung over, but only cut class later in the day to play frisbee if he's feeling particularly good).
