Wow, I am so corny...The Battle Hymn Of The Republic...Mine Eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord, he is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored...it gets me every time. There was a movie, "San Francisco" starring Clark Gable and Janette McDonald, done about 1937 or so, SF has been destroyed by the quake and the fire of 1906, it is lying in rubble, but when the fire is out the refugees march back into the city singing The Battle Hymn of the Republic, and before your eyes the city transforms from the smoking rubble into the modern city of San Francisco circa 1937. A wonderful film, a wonderful song. But like I said, I am soooooooooo corny!
