You can get printable adhesive sheets at your local craft store ( in the scrap booking section ) or at any large office supply store. You can run these sheets through your printer. cut out the circle, remove the backing and apply to the cd. These sheets have archival adhesive on them, so they shouldn't do any damage. Do a web search for the cd label template to use for your design.

By "CD front" do you mean the paper label that goes on the front of most CDs? If so, the label is usually self-adhesive, like a great big sticker. I would recommend using double-sided tape for that. You might want to use a particular type of glue that is designed for porous and non-porous surfaces. I have one called "gem glue." It's designed for sticking rhinestones onto t-shirts and other fabric, so it works on slick and porous surfaces. Look for that kind of glue at your local crafts supplies store, I guess, if tape doesn't sound like a good idea to you. Some places even sell self-adhesive CD labels, the right shape and everything. Try looking for those in a shop that sells blank CDs and in the crafts supplies stores.
