I live in Scotland and I have a friend who lives in California. We've arranged to send each other boxes of stuff for Christmas that's American (for me) and British (for her).
So what kind of British stuff would you like to be sent that you can't buy in the USA?
And also, have you heard of The Wombats or The Hoosiers? They're British bands so I might copy those CDs for her but it's pointless if she could buy them over there anyway.
Thanks for your help! (we're 16 if that helps at all)

Maybe she'd like some pics of Scotland? I visited there, it was wonderful. The family was from around Edinburgh and I was so proud of that beautiful city. I love the Scottish accent. Are there any local Scottish bands she might like to sample? Any of those delicious candies I remember? Anyway, it sounds like you are both in for a nice Christmas, so...Merry Christmas!!

Music is something very personal. British bands might not be something your friend likes to hear, but since you're copying those cds and not wasting money, why not?
Candy! Definatly. Everyone loves candy, and your friend is most likely to have never eaten any from Scotland!
T-Shirt that contains british sayings? something different!
Maybe a cute headband, or a wrist thingy ( I forget the name, It's tied, and looks like cloth?) Or simply a handmade bracelet.
I would suggest something that looks like its British, a white t-shirt isn't special. You live all the way in Scotland! It's gotta be something special

Candy and cookies and stuff like that are always good. I've never seen somewhere I can buy British goods. I haven't heard of those British bands so I don't think you can buy them here, but online yes. Little British knicknacks are cool too. (I have a friend from Scotland who lives in California. How weird.)

British Pounds are fun to have and display. Also, various candies that aren't obtainable in the States would be cool. Maybe some pictures you've taken in the UK, or magazines that aren't available here. Never heard of those bands, but any new music experience would be cool.

Yes I have heard of "The Wombats" before. As for the presents- Is there some European candy or sweets that ya'll have and we don't? That sounds pretty neat personally. Maybe some European bills or coins too??

Ooh I had a friend in England, and she always raved about these snacks, I think they were cheesy, I don't remember the name of them, but we don't have them in America.
Those CDs sound good too, I've never heard of them.
Sorry I'm not more help, that was just the first thing I thought of.
