I have a 1993 audi 100cs not quatro 2.8 v6 auto that will drive all day in reverse but dies when put in drive the idle is set right and it has new plugs and tranni was rebuilt about 2 years ago. how can I fix this

Have the dealer check it out. It may be a computer problem.

Definately appears like a torque converter venture i'm afraid: what's occurring is that the torque converter isn't disengaging the engine from the gearbox, and as quickly as you artwork jointly park the locking pawl is retaining the gearbox, which hasn't been ideal declutched from the engine, which then stalls. Sound slightly costly.

my guess would be related to an engine mount.. when the engine moves it may be pulling on a wire harness or grounding out an ignition wire or fuel pump feed
