I have always heard brown is more dominate, but both of my children have my hazel eyes and their father has brown...so I guess that's not always the case!

I think this theory needs a little more testing...what do YOU think? Hmmm??? *wink* ;o)

The baby will have some gorgeous eyes thats what color the baby will have LOL they said the recent study was that brown was the dominant color however my husband his white and has brown eyes i am also white and have blue green eyes our daughter has dark blue eyes..so i think it would depend more so on the race as well as the eye color but i am guessing the baby might have like a brownish tint with maybe hazel in the middle.

Brown is dominant, but be aware that hazel is often used to incorrectly describe green. If the hazel parent has a traditional hazel color (light golden brown), it's all kind of a moot point. The kid's eyes are gonna be brown.

Of course in our case, we have green and blue-green. We got a green eyed child and a true hazel eyed child.

the baby will more than likely have brown eyes, and maybe even a hint of hazel too. maybe like a honey brown color.

Brown eyes are the dominate color.

Brown is the most dominent color, but it depends on the secondary genetic traits. It could have brown, hazel or even blue!
What are the grand parents eye colors?

If one parent has brown eyes, with blue as the recessive and the other has hazel eyes with blue as a recessive - you could have a child with brown eyes with blue or hazel as the recessive, hazel eyes with blue as the recessive or blue eyes if it gets both blue genes from the parents.

If you can tell me the grand parents eye color, I could give you potential scenarios for eye color.

Brown is dominate. I have heard that if the parents have one dominate and one recessive eye color there baby has a one is 3 chance of having the recessive color.

brown is more dominant.
Lets say one parent has brown eyes and the other has blue, the child is more likely to have brown eyes since brown is more dominant.
If one parents, parents(the childs grandparent) or someone in the childs parents family has blue eyes but the childs parent does not, its still in their genes but recessive....which in turn can show up in their child. So the child does not always get the color of the more dominant parents eyes.

unfortunately, they'll most likely have brown eyes. It also depends on whom has the hazel eyes, there's a good chance if the male has hazel eyes. Being that their genes are more dominate. Also, whom has hazel eyes in her family. If you both have a history of having light eyed people in your family (except for the brown eyed person), chances are they will have a good chance of having light eyes.
