Yuck! I saw the exact spider upstate NY...Disgusting but they have their purpose. I tried to Google it however my attempts were useless. Sorry.

I don't recognize it. What type of web does it have? How about a close up of its eyes. The eye pattern is very discriminatory of spiders.

I believe it is a midwestern mosaic spider- because of the pattern on its shell.
