I am a life long Golden Domer.....could care less what the haters say....and usually I have defended Weis (not saying Willingham didn't get the short end of the stick...because he did...)....but his Insistence on playing Clausen, who is obviouslty the most overrated piece of fluff to be recruited by anyone just boggles my mind!!
ND sucks this year....has not been a great team for a while now....but Sharpley is obviously 20x better than Clausen! What is the man thinking?

*all true.....I just don't get why he doesn't see the writing on the wall. Claussen sucks. We got Sharlpey fo what another year....and Dayne Crist is coming in thei next season.....so why waste anymore time with Jimbo?

*Terry....have you seen Claussens HS games? I saw a couple...he had a freakin great O-line. Now, when it counts...he just cant think in game time. Weis shoulda recruited his O-line, and sent Jimmy to Tenessee!

Frogdog...watch with the insults...not a Pats fan...just got sick of the Haters. Both the Colts and Pats are great teams.....just thought a lot of your brethren were hypocrites for whining about Brady doing the same things Manning did in 04!! ;-)

He bought into the hype of Jimmy Clausen. At least now we see what a heck of a football player Brady Quinn was. He had a practice squad RB behind him (Walker), a baseball pitcher (Samardizja), and threw 15 touchdown passes to a WR that couldn't even make a practice squard (McKnight). Yet, Notre Dame was still a decent team, and let's not forget that he actually beat USC during his junior year but got robbed

Well, I've wondered what he is thinking too...I think right now Sharpley gives them the best chance to win...I don't think Clausen is overrated...He never lost a game in HS...but the problem is, he hasn't been coached well enough for college...Hopefully he will be better next year...They've also got Dane Crist coming in next year...So SOMEBODY should win the QB competition...Sharpley will still be there too...He didn't play his freshman year, so he's still got 2 years...
Frogdog...I just happen to be an ND fan(lot of relatives went there) and a Pats fan(originally from Boston)...Its the exact opposite with kimmyisahotbabe, who is a Pats fan but an ND hater...

People It is not Clausen's fault. he is a freshmen and should not be playing at all.
The problem is not the talen on the team. it's the coach.
Open your eyes. Notre Dame has better players than Air Force and Navy at every position.
Air Force and Navy has better coaches.
before the season started Notre Dame had 1 Junior QB, 2 Red Shirt Freshman QBs and 1 True Freshmen.
It is up to the coach to develope their players.
You can't expect a true freshmen to come in and start winning games for you.

He isn't! It appears that he is letting the boosters and alumni dictate what he does with his team. I personally have a hard time respecting that. Basically, it seems as though since he cannot appease them with victories, he can appease them by putting the players in the game that THEY want to see. He isn't thinking at all.
