I'm Salary, my employer cut everyone's hours to 32/week, and said we could not use our PTO, so our bi-weekly checks were less than they normally are. Checks are based upon a 40 hour week.

I paintings for organisation this is a few thing like that. In my place with the organisation there are 2 pay varieties, earnings and Hourly, the two pay the comparable. Hourly gets a decrease fee, however that is factored in with 10 hours at time and a one million/2. (with the purpose to get your finished fee of pay you will ought to paintings 50hrs) earnings is basically based at 40hrs at a hirer fee. Alot of organizations have become away with salaried workers or maybe got here out in the previous few years, with a minimum fee for earnings workers ($425 a week)ish. Why i'm not precisely particular. i replaced into advised someday this 365 days that i'd be moved to hourly yet at no lose of funds. i will lose funds if i'm not working as much as my 50hrs .

An employer can change your pay rate - your option is to look for another job if you aren't willing to work for the new amount. If they changed everyone from 40 hours to 32 hours, it would make sense that everyone's pay would have gone down by 20%.

If you are salary, they cannot change your pay based on the number of hours you work. If you are salaried, you get the same pay if you work 32 hours or 52 hours. Call the labor board. It will piss them off. You might want to do the research yourself and give it to them. Freshen your resume.
