I'm very depressed, have been for several months now. Every time I told my fiancé he said we don't have money for me to see a doctor. So I'm dealing with this on my own. Sometimes I cant stand looking at him I go and sleep on the couch. He really believes our relationship is GREAT!! I have started to be sad all the time. I feel he is making me worse. I want to leave but keep thinking of our son. I looked up an apartment that I might be able to afford a couple of weeks ago. Well they sent me an email about first month being free. Is this my sign that I should leave? I have been with my fiancé for 4 yrs. We, well he bought a house (my name not on house) and opened up a successful business. I stayed home raising our son for the first year. I recently just stared a job as a Cake decorator. Pay not great but I can try and make it work. I’m just so lost and confused on what to do. I've suggested counseling. But he thinks it stupid and a waste of money. HELP

if the man has a successful business and won't pay for u to see a doctor he is totally insensitive and really doesn't care about your well being. with the child support u will get from him u will be able to afford a place. also if your name is not on that house he really doesn't trust u either. join a self help therapy where there are others who are going through a depression and they will help u. get help for your depression and get rid of him he sounds incapable of being there for u emotionally.

You are not married to this man, he has no say so over your desire for counseling. Find a mental health clinic and make an appointment, but see your gyn first, your depression could be related to a medical condition. Maybe your b/f would be more accepting if your doctor recommended it.

Get out while you can. He is not going to get any better. If he cannot realize there are problems and think things are great he is just using you. You son would, sad to say be better off without him because you don't want him to grow up around his father, he will be the same way.

If you are part of a church you can seek counseling for free, and his negative butt doesn't have to pay a penny or care for that matter.. Also these groups are a great source.

Churched often offer free counseling. If you are dealing with depression, talk to a pastor. It would be free .

The question you need to ask yourself is do you still love him and if the answer is yes then stay and work on it. True love is worth working on. Just say the famous words we need to talk and that will get his attention. Tell him that if you love me as much as you say you do then listen to me then tell him how you feel. See I wish my ex would just have talked to me instead of us getting big fight and her ending it now we both are hurting

Please go to a church!! A pastor can help you for free! You do not need your fiance's approval to do this. Go for yourself because depression can be treated!! YOU will feel better after talking to a preacher & getting help! Best wishes!

GET HELP. You are not the only one suffering. Everyone around you suffers when you suffer. I would go to the Dr. anyway.
