Hard question to answer. As much as I like Robert Plant , and loved Led Zeppelin, to be honest Robert's solo efforts have been very disappointing. I know his albums all had a couple really good songs, but overall they were just average albums. Nothing close to what he had done with Led Zeppelin. Until "Mighty ReArranger". That was a great album.

I'm sorry to say this but I've never liked his solo work. Some of his early efforts sound too much like later Led Zeppelin songs (it didn't help that Jimmy Page often collaborated with him) and none of the songs are really that memorable.

Robert Plant is a very polished vocalist. Saw him on PBS recently and was absolutely fabulous. He did some of his own stuff and variations of Zepplin songs.

Love his solo work... Tall Cool One, and even the Honeydrippers stuff. I'm also really enjoying his new duet album with Allison Krauss.

the man has my full respect, but his solo work just hasn't lived up to zeppelin. you just can't beat the original, but i do fully support him in anything he does as he is a large influence of mine
