Daughter cells of (diploid) primary spermatocytes and primary oocytes are haploid. In other cases division is equational, that is a diploid cell will give rise to diploid daughter cells and a haploid cell like secondary spermatocyte and secondary oocyte will give rise to haploid daughters without any further reduction.
