..but why do people insist on telling you they have done so? Do they think they can brown-nose best answer out of you? ;-)

Yeah, looks like it. I've noticed some people star every question they answer - what value has a star then?

You won't catch me sucking up to anybody. So no star - sorry.

I think people are just letting you know how much they like the question, other times it is a bit of brown nosing... maybe some people don't realise that you can check for yourself!

I've never had that happen to me, yet. I star questions but I just assume my friends or contacts will see what I've starred just like I see what they've starred. So I don't ever say anything.
