Anyone here classic rock lovers? What's your favorite band (classic rock), what other music do you listen to, and how old are you?

my absolute favorite band is led zeppelin. i also adore van halen. just saw them in concert about three weeks ago. they were awesome. some of my friends like classic rock, but some hate it, saying it's ''old''. they might be oldies, but they sure are goodies. =D
i also like alternative rock,punk, and some metal

ya absolutley the beatles electric light orchestra and led was great as you said I'm in my teens and I just can't stand the stuff out today but i love the oldies

By Classic Rock do you mean from the sixties and seventies? I first heard Rock as Rock and Roll back in the fifties, with Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis, which I still enjoy.
Classic Rock might be anything from Beatles to Led Zeppelin, the Byrds to the Yardbirds. If you were around back then I don't think you could say which was your favorite band. The spectrum is broad and it is all good. Pink Floyd is not better than Frank Zappa, they're just different.
John Belushi when he was with the Blues Brothers said *I suggest you buy all the blues records you can because its all going to be replaced by mediocre electronic techno-pop(sic)*. That is true now of Classic Rock. I'm in my 50's.

I grew up on it and still listen to it. My kids now listen to 60s, 70s, 80s rock. They all listen to their own new stuff also. Just because many radio managements and music exects. dont give it the time of day, doesnt mean people are not listening.
Also, what u hear on classic rock stations is a micro fraction of the songs that were played during that time.
One thing you'll find about rock and actually modern music as a whole is it will get off shoots of new stuff but it all merges back into the mainstream or rediscovers its roots. It all goes in a circle. Do yourself a favor, go check out in the smaller halls or outdoor concerts, these classic rock artists like Blue Oyster Cult, Scorpians, Ozzy, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Starz, while you can because they will not be around forever and maybe discover that youve been missing something.

No way I haven't forgotten classic rock, I'm 28 some of my favorite bands include Led Zepellin, Rolling Stones, The Doors, Heart, Pink Floyd, the list goes on and on. I mostly enjoy classic rock some new rock like The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sublime, Linkin Park, and a little just a little rap I like Kanye West, Outkast, Jay-Z, Snoop....

My favs are Black Sabbath , Zeppelin, Yes, Rush , Floyd, alice cooper and the list goes on for classic rock. I am 41 and I also listen to some classical. When I am in the mood I will pop in some Billy Holiday from time to time. Then comes my METAL.........

My favorite band is Pink Floyd and I also listen to progressive rock and indie rock. I also dip into other genres, but no so much, I mainly stay in rock.

I like some classic rock. Although, I love post-hardcore/metal I still value the old stuff.

Classic rock is a very odd term. The bands considered to play classic rock always seem to be picked by popularity, I guess that's what qualifies them as classic? In that case my favorite band would be the Kinks, followed by the Who, followed by the Rolling Stones.

Favorite band would be The Who for me. But I listen to a lot of indie, alternative, punk, heck, even underground rap.
I'm 17.
No one has forgotten classic rock, trust me. There are plenty of bands out there today who are keeping the spirit alive.
