A lot of people do it, but now it's starting to get noticed and even prosecuted.

The movie producing companies are now sending detectives with night vision goggles to the movie theaters and collecting evidence to prosecute those doing that.
So it is getting much harder now.

A lot of theatres are brigging charges against the individual who are pirating movies.
I don't understand why people want to tape movies.
There is no way of getting the sound, frame, noise reduction and a clear picture.
Most people who tape movies find they are very blurry and the sound is almost nonexcistant.

As far as being hard to do.
Well, if you can stand to hold a mini camera for up to two hours, then try it.
But, don't bother with it.
It's not worth the trouble.

its kinda hard to get good sound quality. And get a pretty empty theatre so you wont have ppl getting up and walkin in front of your camera. You need to wear a coat and have a small digital camera with a wide lens and good sound. and its hard to get the right light balance cuz its DARK in a movie theatre.

If ur thinkin of bootleggin movies, nowadays its much better to just download a good copy off the internet and burn it to a dvd and sell it that way. People wont buy the crappy bootlegs filmed from the back of a theatre and it wont be worth ur time (and the risk).

Best if You own or work at the theater.
Run and record the movie after hours.
No audience to rat You out,and no audience to make noise
during recording.
