How is the best way to do that...it is right under one of the upstairs bathrooms...will we have to cut the dry wall on the ceiling because it looks like its right under the tub...Please help as soon as possible

you'll have to replace the drywall on the ceiling anyway so start there.cut out a section between the joists where the water damage is and find your leak probably the p-trap or at the tub where the drain is. If you tub is very old it could be a pinhole in it. If your leak isn't at the drain then you need to cut out BEHIND the faucets, meaning outside the tub. If thats your leak this is a good time to replace your faucets. its a minimal amount of soldering if your able to

There should be an access panel at the end of the tub where the fixtures are. You should be able to look in there and see whats leaking.

sounds like it, cut it out then make an acess hole [door] when you repair it,
must be the drain elbow, on the tub,
