No. Pouring any Drano in there is a disaster. You could have eaten through parts of the pump or any internal piping in the dishwasher.
Put on rubber gloves and soak up whatever you can with a towel. Then pour in water to dilute whatever is left in there. Repeat that until there is no Drano smell. Then try going to a part of the cycle where the pumping out comes on and see if that does any good.
If not be prepared for a major plumbing or appliance repair bill.

most likely you have one of 2 problems either your pump motor has stopped ( major problem) or your air gap is clogged minor problem your airgap should be located on the back of your kitchen sink. it is generally the cylinder shaped object on the back of the sink. It should lift of maybe have to twist a little under that is eithewr a screw off cap or a cap that is held in by 2 small pins remove this and check to make sure there is nothing blocking it. If you find debris here remove it then replace both caps. this should solve the problem then run the dishwasher and listen for it to drain I would highly reccomend running several times to get drano out Do not use Drano it is an acid and will eat your pipes Hope this helps Janette and Richard Airmedic Mechanical Louisville Ky

Drano won't work on a dishwasher draining problem. Call a service technician, have the problem repaired and run a few cycles through with no dishes. You will have to get the poison out of the machine before washing dishes.

Do you have a garbage disposal in your sink, you know the thing you don't like putting your hand in. Chances are if you do this is where your problem is. I am not sure it is ever wise to put draino in your dishwasher. Check you disposal to make sure it is cleared and the check the hoses going from the disposal to the dishwasher. If you just install a disposal there is a chance you forgot to remove the plastic knockout allowing the water to drain into the disposal. Remove the tube connecting to the diposal. Quicky turn on and off the washers and see if water comes rushing out. A good idea to direct the hose into a bucket. If water comes outthe hose. Look into to the area where the hose was attached to the disposal and insert a screwdriver and knock out the plastic blocker. If you do not have a disposal, there is still a hose coming from the bottom of the dishwasher that allows the water to drain outta the washer, check this to make sure it is not block..

Get all the drano out of the dishwasher as you can and then run it. Never put drano in a dishwasher.

NO! Drano is a REALLY strong acid. It shouldn't go in a dishwasher at all! It's time to get a professional involved..

BAD IDEA...if anything poor it down the sink..chances are that your rinse cycle isnt running a full time span..there is also a trap that catches stuff..it might be clogged..the washer also has a solenoid (plunger) that opens and closes on command..if it closes before the water is fully empty..then your timer i9s probably bad...the water drains into your sink pipes in most cases..if your sink drains slow then your rinse cycle doesnt know this..and when the cycle is timed out and the drain is still holding water..it has no place to go but back into the washer...p.s....next time you drain the washer, keep eye on sink drain to see if water backs up into sink...

give it a good rinse, there will always be standing water in the machine it keeps the pump seals from drying out ,also throw some Tang in there, when the smell of oranges disapears it will be fully rinsed out.
