Well, depends. If it's freezing- no moonlight swim. I think the swim is better, though. Romantic, fun, and totally COOL!

Both are very awesome :)

Why do we have to chose? live in the moment, enjoy! I vividly remember swimming under a full moon in Greece. The sea was phosphorescence, so every movement left a silver trail, the stars were vivid. I laid on my back, so my ears were under water; I could hear the only the sea. Looking up into that incredible pin sharp sky, I wept some of my own salt water back into the ocean; sometimes you just have to cry with the sheer wonder of it all!
I have also known equally intense moments on clear, freezing moon lit nights, especially if I am in the country, where there is no reflected artificial light competing in the sky. The land around was full of silver light and shadow. Moments like these open up your soul, and for the briefest of moments, you breath in the universe and it breaths you out. And that, my friend, is to be filled with awe.

AS long as the swim isn't on a winter evening - unless of course, if the pool is heated...they are both fine.
