Who else thinks it should be illegal other than november the 5th except licenced displays, and they should be banned for sale to the public. I could build a terrible bomb for £20 worth of fireworks if i was a religious terrorist.

i think that there should be a law saying that fire works can only be let off between the 1st and 9th of November and only go on sale on the 1st, as some families do work evenings n if bonfire night falls on a week night then they miss out, this way there would be at least 1 weekend night to have bonfire night so then everyone would be happy. i also think that if anyone is found letting fireworks off outside this period then they will be fined and have to appear in court and the police should really clamp down on this as they dont seem to be bothered.

I think there should only be organised displays. My pets are still terrified and a stray firework set fire to a barn in the farm opposite Saturday which took 20 firefighters to extinguish. The cows and other farm animals are all terrified, and what of wildlife? People don't care about 'celebrating' Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot, it's nonsense.
