I'm from Michigan also so I remember this from when I was younger (I moved out at 17... my sister at 16). Unlike most of these other folks here I in no way believe that your moving out early is going to negatively affect your life. Michigan is a backwards place as it is, with the highest unemployment rate in the nation, and we have to do things oddly in order to get ahead. Hell, if I wouldn't have left when I was 17 I never would have even started college. So...
At 17 in Michigan you are granted additional rights as an adult. However, the age of concent (the age that you can have sex with whoever you want regardless of that other persons age) is 16. You are absolutely old enough to move in with your boyfriend, and there is nothing anybody can do about it legally.
Be your own person... and make your own decisions. ;) You'll do the right thing...
By the way... Michigan just lost to Wisconsin! WTF! Just like them to screw up once we start getting our faith in them back a little bit.... Grrrr..

Are you sure you want to do that? What about college? What if the relationship doesn't work out, can you support yourself? Can you support yourself even if living with this "great" guy? Things can easily change; always be prepared.

might get away with it, but do you really want to screw up your life at such a young age? finish school first. try to make yourself a life so you have something to share, and so you don't have to depend on anyone.
