Basics first. The heat stored absorbed Q is proportional to temperature difference (T2-T1), mass of the object( ball at it may be) and it specific heat Cp.

Q=mCp(T2-T1)

And since Cp you want then it is Cp you should have!

1. How many ways is there to measure mass ?
I suggest to use a scale
2. If you want to measure temperature I would recommend a thermometer ( Liquid filled or infrared.. Liquid is better and cheaper still)
3. Hmm... How does one measure Q? If I'm not mistaken 1 cal is the amount of heat it takes to raise one g of H2O by one degree C. This is why we use calorimeter.
