Do you think the top contributors do the reporting because they don't like the competition?

There is a guy with over 7,OOO points who hasn't asked a single question, and his answers are pathetic one liners, or just taking the pee. Tony M, This ones for you (Blocky Blocky)

Grannygrunt; If you don't report, you need not worry about such matters and continue having fun. And sorry if I gave any blanket suggestions.
However people do need a poke too check they aren't taking advantage of their powers.
Where would we be if we let everyone walk all over us and stopped us from having our say in matters.

Some, definitely not all, TCs do report because of the competition and RScott is a good example of what can happen when a certain TC feels threatened. If I report then I can guarantee it is for a good reason and not just because someone is threatening my status. RScott's Troll is after me hard and heavy and I did result to blocking my Q/A from anyone not in my network because he and his trollettes look for any reason to report any one who threatens his status. I don't want to lose all my accounts if I get booted so I try to protect myself as much as possible. I've even blocked him and he still seeks me out. I'm not a chicken S***, however, I do feel like one because I let him do this to me. I just have too much to lose like e-mail, 360, and Flickr. Besides, I'm not the only one who uses these accounts.

EDIT: I've also gone to the suggestions board, not that it did a darn thing, to suggest they get rid of the top 10 boards all together. This way TCs can concentrate on their own percentages and not on the others who might pass them up.

EDIT: My wording was a bit off when I origionally wrote this and I'd like to clearify that RScott is NOT my Troll, he is my friend.

I'm a top contributor I've been off Y!A for over a week so I've probably lost my #10 spot on the top 10. I DON'T DO THE REPORTING! It's done mostly by the trolls! I can tell you this much use the "F" word and I will report it. I usually just tell them off or skip the question. Sometimes I wonder if the people that aren't on the leader board or are top contributors resent those that are. I work hard at helping in homework help and I enjoy it. After all at 69 I don't have a whole lot to do. Actually I resent the implication of the question, but, it is something that you want to know and to understand. Unless of course this question is meant to incite.

I just started using this forum and got in the middle of the turf war between RScott and the "Twit" and was accused of being a troll. Now that I understand the group dynamics of the Garden and Landscape section a little better, I see this feud as more entertaining than the actual Q&A's. RScott is a very knowledgeable guy but a little rough around the edges. The "Twit" on the other hand isn't as knowledgeable but he seems to have perfected a plan to garner points. If these two quit "answers" I'll have to look elsewhere for a laugh.

I was suspended from level 6 when I was trolled by the numero uno in Garden and Landscape. He and I battled for the number one position for weeks and when he knew he was losing he reported me and bragged about it in his personnel profile. It's the only place he feels safe to rant. He's reported me twice, the second time was after I reestablished my top contributor banner. Now at that same point again and expect to be baited and reported again. I refuse to hide my email address, Q&A or fans and contacts like most of the chicken sheet top contributors. If you were to add up the points of the three accounts I've used, I am Number One Contributor of Garden and Landscape forum and knowing that is good enough for me. Now that I'm not concerned with points anymore I can be me and tell it as I see it, no bullpucky. Molely taught me well. RScott

and you do know that they are cheating because every time they get a best answer it is by voters and they win by say about 4 votes on EVERY BEST ANSWER THEY HAVE what fun they get out of it I don't know
they have to have several acounts and vote for themselves

this top contributor even has his own website
go ahead, everybody type it into yahoo search you know who I mean.

No, the TC's and higher levels are the ones who GET reported. They are the targets, and I should know, my level 6 account was suspended.

here's what i dont get..."judy" answers many of my peeps ??? with three-word answers. all the time. never says a harsh word. why is she hanging around MY groups? i read her profile...god this, god that, lets all get along-type sh*t. SORRY...NOT BUYING IT.

i've had tony m blocked for ages.
all top ten is blocked. spider was the cool one. the "long live the dream" "good luck" guy is another one i block.
