MY computer kept restarting in loops so I decided to reboot it from the computer. It erased everything! And now, I can't hear sound. The only sound my computer plays is the sound you get when an error pops up. It says all my devices are working properly but when I look under audio and video it says no device installed. I tried installing one from the website associated with my laptop and it didn't work. :l Most likley your answer won't make sense to me so try to make it understandable. When it comes to computers, I'm an idiot :/

You need to install the drivers for the mother board and those for any third party pci cards that you have installed.

1. If you know the brand and model of your motherboard, install the audio drivers from the manufacturer's page.
2. If you don't http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Everest-Home-Edition.shtml

is your computer connected to seperate strereos? If it is then that could be the problem. If this is the case just buy new ones. If it is not then it your magnitizing chip could be broken (regulates sound production in a computer).
