For a cheer fundraiser, two moms told us that each of us have to sell 10 tickets to our car wash at $5 each. Even if we don't sell all 10 of our tickets, we must come to the coaches with $50. If we don't bring the $50 to them, we have to do after school clean up for who knows how long. Between freshmen, JV, and Varsity, there are about 55 of us. That means 550 tickets are expeted to be sold. The carwash lasts 6 hours (with about 10 people working at a time). With these numbers, each car would have to be washed in oh, a little under 45 seconds. Come on now, let's get realistic.

What do you think?
I mean, I know life isn't fair, but this... is just crazy.

Seems impossible to me. We did a car wash for my daughter's cheering squad and people just pulled into the carwash right off the street. Why sell tickets? Just give out flyers and put up a sign at the carwash instead. As for making you pay $50 whether you sell the tickets or not and making you do clean up duties....that's just wrong too. Who made that rule?? If you were my daughter, I'd nicely let them know I wouldn't be making my daughter do any clean up duties for not meeting the criteria. They can have a clean up day that's separate from the car wash. Why make it a punishment?

Yea it's crazy I mean 55 of you selling 550 tickets in total

But like if you work hard enough I don't know but I say 550 is way to much. And those coaches are just plain CRAZY clean up at a school yuck!

And in our classroom there's this book reading competition and our goal was to read 100 books by the end of the quarter and there was like 25 of us? and we already read 216 books! lol just somthing that sounded related I guess

Sounds crazy and unfair to me... try to sell as many as you can, if you don't sell 10, then you don't sell ten. It is a fund raiser... not a requirement. If it was me and I didn't sell all the tickets I would refuse to do clean up, you aren't any ones maid, they hire janitors for that.

Sounds like thy just took the "FUN" out of Fundraiser.
I think that is very unfair sounds to me that your getting punish for not selling 10 tickets or more and that's not what fund raising is about.

but I wish you guys lots of luck.

That is unfair. Just don't do it if you don't want to. And if they make you do the cleanup, then tell them to fuc(k) off.
