They won't fix the problem, they won't let me move into another apartment, and they won't let me break the lease. In essence, i am a prisoner in a wretched disgusting environment that stinks to high heaven of mold spores, and i can't even get the smell of it out of my clothes and books.
I have ten long months of suffering to plot my revenge. I though about leaving little notes for the next tenents to find - ominous notes written in blood or something BLACK MOLD EVERYWHERE _ YOU WILL DIE !!
Or something sinister like that. Maybe i could even pump air from my apartment into my neighbors' apartments so that i can have 6 peopple complaining instead of just me.
Any more ideas?

Call the health department and file a complaint. They will be out there in NO time and probably make the landlord fix the probably and probably fine him too. You can break your lease anytime your apartment has become uninhabitable...that is a defense to breaking your lease.

If you've got mold growing in the apartment I'd imagine you can break your lease at any time. Like the others said, call the local health department. You could also contact a lawyer and see what your options are as far as suing the cheap S.O.B. since that would be the best revenge I could think of.

Go to the city Housing Inspector. You can find this person through the City Hall.

Mold is indeed a health hazzard.

Do this now before it becomes you in the hospital with Black Lung or something.

I'm sure if you document it and have proof you can break your lease. Write a letter, make a copy, and send it to your landlord. If he refuses to fix the problem, move out and take him to small claims court to get your deposit back. Make sure you have plenty of pictures to back your claims. Why are you trying to get back at the landlord by messing with your neighbors and the next unlucky person to lease this deathtrap?

Please, even is pointless.

Get "even" by contacting the board of health, and if necessary, a lawyer.
