my boss called me a slave an state that i looked like i should be on a syrup bottle what do i say?

this is an awakening for me An African American Female with my white husband and our African American/European white children... The rose color glasses are off!... this society is sick and so back wards where is the love of man kind to be called a slave by your boss and syrup bottle aunt ja mama... are there white women out there that resent my being with a white man could this be why i am having issues at my job. I am sure that there are black woman that have problems with white woman being with black men.. my mom raise us to believe that there only one GOD and love is color blind and that any one that has a problem with love that is their problem.. my eye are open to the hate all the avenues that hate takes.... I will get through this just like the African American Before me.. I am thinking about moving to Canada like my fore father before followed the north star... to freedom ... this is just horriable

Don't let one idiot taint your view of an entire people - that's exactly the kind of thinking that made him an idiot, and I don't think you want to become like him.

Your mother was right about love being color blind. Someday, when people stop falling for the lies fed them by race-based 'leaders,' society will be color blined, too.

Hey girl that really isn't cool, I mean I understand, and I too am in a bi-racial relationship, and I know some people hate the idea, however I haven't been witness to such cruel treatment as you have, and it breaks my heart to hear such ignorance. Just keep your head up and hold tight to your love and know that everything is gonna be alright. What don't kill us will only make us stronger, and I am sure you already know that. That is SO F'd up! But , that's his problem not yours! Remember that always. I wish you could have said, " Thank you I always knew I would be famous!!", with a big smile on your face, turn and walk proudly away from him.

I've never heard anybody called a slave on a syrup bottle before. That's vicious.

I'll tell you this, being a mixed marriage, you need to be prepared for all kinds of crap!

You could, however, report your boss to his boss.

first of all, calm down and realize that people envy your strength and inner beauty. second, my best advice to you is to quietly and carefully find another job. when you find the other job, go to the Human Resources Deptarment and report your boss. If they don't do anything about it, i would suggest to write to the mayor or to a television news castor.

I want to tell you I am sorry. Not speaking for your boss but for me. I think every white person should take on the responsibility of speaking up when there are racial slurs. If we ever hope to be a society of brotherly love, and equality, maybe in a hundred years, then it has to start with each one of us. Again, I'm sorry you had to endure your ignorant boss's ignorant remarks.

Hi,
That was appalling what your boss said to you. You have some options. You can either sit quietly and not do anything about your boss's statement and stay at your job, or you can report it to a higher authority and stay on your job, or you can leave and find another job and still report what was said to you.. Your bosses statement was really racist and somewhat sexist. What ever you decide please meditate and pray about it first.
