A protein diet doesn't affect women's cycle, hormones due or lack of body weight (women athletes, who compete stop bleeding & their cycle returns once the stop). Stress, illness or medication can all affect a woman's menstrual cycle.

If you're worried she might be pregnant, buy a home pregnancy test. It's not worth being unsure of.

My bleeding got less while I was on a strict diet, but it didn't get later.
