my system wont defrag, it starts then goes to 2% then restarts? help?

Run the defrag in safe mode.

Probably being interrupted by some program running in the background or the screen saver. Try in Safe Mode. Prior to that run diskcleanup and chkdsk. The built in tool cannot defrag completely if a program interrupts its function. Some commercial tools however can be set up to work even when you are doing normal functions on the PC.

Yes computer guy is right windows support says that if it does that you need to run scandisk in safe mode
