I'm referring to the "typical" Conservative or Liberal person. (This does not apply to someone who may lean a certain way or vote a certain way). You know what I mean - the stereotypical Conservative or Liberal.
Conservatives seem to approach things and get their point across by bullying, yelling and getting angry.
While Liberals seem to rant, complain and go to far extremities.
Don't people realize their views are more likely to be accepted if you present them to people like a normal person?

In response to one of the answerers you have never seen a Conservative person be angry? Google Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. I'm not referring to specifics - more personal encounters and things I've seen. And that clip wasn't very good - there's much better ones of Liberals being crazy.

Conservatives and liberals are neither. Fanatics of both parties tend to rant about the opposite party leading to this misconception.

Conservatives are angry, liberals are crazy and moderates are fence-sitters. Politics can apparently make fools of us all, depending on how you view or label things.

Most people don't care if their views are accepted. We all have our philosophies, based on education (or lack thereof) and experience (or lack thereof). I wouldn't say conservatives are angry, but they are annoyed that liberals have been so miseducated and misled by politicians hungry for power. They feel that liberal voters should be able to figure some things out without having to be told. On the other hand, those on the left are the product of their education, which probably did not favor the conservative viewpoint if they attended a government school.

That's the way they are spun in the media. Based on my experience, most people who identify themselves as either liberal or conservative tend to lean farther towards the centre than to either extreme.

That's the extreme of both sides. That's not typical for the average conservative or liberal.

The problem is that both parties are on different sides of the ball on everything because they want votes. If they stuck to their morals and ignored votes, I really think they would win hands down. Honestly, I think the best ticket in the Presidential race would be Giuliani/Clinton or Obama.

Conservatives are angry because they are the group of people who abide by the moral standing this country was known for and more calm down to earth sanity. The liberals are just as the name says against all of these things and it makes us angry!

I'm not angry...and I consider myself a Con. I think the amount of ranting and name calling I have seen on this board is far and away weighted to the Lib side. All the poison and vitriol against Bush and this administration that you see on here (and the vile questions they ask). Now there's real anger!

Both are so set in their ways and are so passionate about their beliefs they cannot hear the other sides argument. I believe that most of it is selfish, in that the extremes of each will not allow anyone to alter their perception.
