I own pool tables that are leased to bars and restaurants. Heres how I train my guys to do it. Take the bumpers off and remove the slate (one piece). If its a good table its one piece, if not remove all the slate. Then tip over to its side and remove the legs. Lift together and relocate. Replace all that was taken off and level. (good luck leveling in a trailer.)
Why a trailer... nevermind.
Good luck

usually, slate top pool tables need to be taken apart to move. a professional installer would take it apart, and then set it back up, level in the new location. the slate top of most tables is usually 2 or 3 pieces, which have to be put together properly...

Put it on an old rug. You can move almost anything once you have a rug or blanket underit.
Don't worry; the table will go down the stqirs by itself.

Best to take it apart to avoid breaking the legs or the table top

They are extremely heavy, I have to take mine apart when I sold it. It's really not that hard but if you take it apart you'll probably have to invest in another cloth for it and get some spray adhesive.
