Who's solo stuff after N.W.A. do you think is the best?

i like them all and i cant decide..
I mean Dre had better people with him..Snoop Dogg for example.. Eazy kept doing more gangsta stuff instead of G-funk..which is not really good or bad because there both good..and Ice Cube had a..story telling feel to his songs..
whats your guys opinion?

Well only one of them made a album that is now considered one of the classic rap albums which is "The Cronic"
Love him or hate him I would have to go with Dre

I'm an avid hip hop listener (the good stuff, only), and I firmly believe with my opinion that All of Dr. Dre's solo stuff, mainly The Chronic 1992, and The Chronic 2001 are the best. He never stuck to one genre of hip hop in his songs. I can honestly say that the only song I skip on 2001 is the "pause for porno" skit.
I believe he's the most versatile producer and writer that hip hop has ever had. Many people will argue that Pharrell is the best producer, but Dre has an ear for some of the best unknown rappers (hitman, mailman, RBX), and uses them perfectly on his albums.
Eazy-E... I can't get past the fact that he sounds like a 12 year old redneck from alabama.
Ice Cube... Some good songs, but nothing that had any different flow.

I think Eazy-E had the best solo work. Dre went down hill. Ice cube's alright. But in the few years Eazy was doing solo he put out some awsome stuff. Imagine what he could have done if he hadn't been so loose with himself.

I like Eazy E's solo stuff better.. .even though I didn't quite like his voice I enjoyed his raps.
Dr. Dre however isn't bad at all and you're correct he did have better ppl with him
and Ice Cube... the only thing I like about him is the song "Today was a good day", and his Friday movies.

They are all good! I think that Ice Cube kept it gangsta, but went really soft with his movie career! Eazy-E stayed tight til the day he died...(RIP) and Dr. Dre kinda fell off but keeps it hard core with the beats.
So I think Eazy was the Tightest of them all...

Ice Cube's solo stuff is the best. Dre has turned into an incredible producer, though.

dres beats, eazy e (rip) had attitude we miss him, ice cube still holdin it down!!! You have a lot of great points. I wish EASY was around to hold down south central, but you can check out his son's stuff- pretty good. Of the three you mentioned (you forgot Ren) I like Cube. Plus he acts!!

dre went to becoming the best PRODUCER ( for all u people thinkn that he rapped)! he never had a solo album. too many features to be called solo, but obviously ice cube did the best, the numbers prove that.... r.i.p. eazy

Dr. Dre for sure. - He is the only one that almost everyone has heard of because of his solo stuff.

Ice Cube...not that I particularly like rapping, but when I listen I listen to stuff that's similar to his.
