Gliptone Pro Buff, Followed by Gliptone Cream or Carnuba Wax.
I have compared these to high end product like Zaino that cost 10 fold what gliptone costs and there truly is no comparison.
$200 for Zaino or $12 for Gliptone.
I own a garage and show cars, and about 3 months ago had a customer tell me that she was going to get rid of her 2003 Xterra because it seemed like the the paint was dull and that she could not get the shine back.
I offered to take a shot at it, and when she saw the truck after an hour and a half with it she actually was so happy with it that she cried and her husband actually came into the garage one day to thank me and tell me that it never looked that good when it was new.
I saw here SUV today and it looks just as good as it did 3 months ago which is he best testiment for the products.
Well, if it can make you cry with happiness it's gotta be good too :)
Try it ... I am positive that you will like it.
But remember, Pro Buff first to get the dirt and containiment out of the paint, and although it is a wax as well, it is not a quality wax, you should then go with their cream wax or carnuba.
In the case of the Xterra, I used their Show Wax which is not as long lasting as the Cream or Carnuba but will give you a shine that will blind you.

It's a matter of personal preference. I would go with a synthetic such as Meguiar's NXT. It goes on and comes off easy and provides good protection. Don't fall for all the gimmicks and over the top claims. No wax will last more than 6 months. Don't go real cheap either. A middle of the road wax will do just fine. Just wax your car at least 3 times a year and it will stay protected and shiny.

If we are talking "best" car wax, then it has to be Solaris Glaze by Zymol.... but definitely something you won't use yourself, as it costs £30,000 a pot.. !! (but does get refilled for life)
There are only 25 pots in the world..
The next best is the Royale glaze at £7118 a pot, again refilled for life..
Back down to earth.. they also do special glazes for different colours, and different paintwork.. such as Japon glaze for japanese cars, or Carbon glaze for dark colours.. these are £46 a tub, (not refilled)
Zymol glazes are enzymes, that you apply with your bare hands.. your hands warm the enzyme, which then becomes a wax, and can then be applied to the car.
Out of the rest, you pay your money and take your choice.... I have used most of them, and can say Mer, Autoglym and Meguires are all good products, one of the best on test being some Turtlewax products, but I have doubts that the test was biased.. sonax is good, but hard to get hold of.
as is mothers, poorboys and S100.
As I said, you pay your money and take your choice.. on a personal note, I use Autoglym extra shine (for dark colours)
slightly better than the Mer in my opinion..

Auto Glym is the best, or at least the most respected.
Used by Jaguar Cars, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen etc during the car building process, also they have Royal Warrants. So if it's good enough for the Queen's Roller it's good enough for us common folk.

I use Auto Glym super resin polish. It produces a lovely shine and is quite easy to buff off.
p.s. I even use it on the polyurethane coating on my Fender Strat! It gives it a really glossy shine.
