I believe that the Chicago White Sox are the greatest team in Major League Baseball. After all, they are managed by a great manager Guillen, they have great players including Boone Logan and Joe Crede, and they are the 2005 American League and World Series Champions.

Why are the Chicago White Sox the greatest team in baseball?

Although the Chicago White Sox are a historic baseball team, I would not consider tham as the greatest team in baseball. Like 2005 Chicago White Sox Fan pointed out, they have only won the World Series twice, both in 1917 and 2005. The New York Yankees have won the World Series 26 times and they have been around since 1903 and they started winning World Series after the White Sox won their first World Series in 1917.

I do value your opinion on the Chicago White Sox but I would have to consider the New York Yankees as the greatest team in the history of baseball.

They used to be the greatest team in baseball, but they are not anymore. But that is only a member of opinion. But please remember that the Chicago White Sox are the first team that Ozzie Gullien has manged. But it all had to end, now the White Sox have gotten back to losing, but at least be glad that you had the chance to see the Chicago White Sox win the World Series in your lifetime. A lot of fans of other teams, haven't had this chance, and maybe will never have it.

The only thing that you can use to measure 'the greatest team in baseball' in a single year is the winner of the world series. That was not the Chicago White Sox this year.
In fact, did they even finish at .500? I don't think so, if .480 is the mark for greatness, then there are a lot of 'greatest teams in baseball' out there and that totally defeats the purpose of the 'est' at the end of greatest.

You are, what they call, a homer. Someone whose blindness of a team's faults ACTIVELY overrides their sense of truth.

Boone Logan, is that your brother or something?

You lose all credibility when you make statements like that.

All Time : If thats what you mean, I laugh at you. Have you NOT relized that the Yankees have won 26 world championships and the White Sox have won 3 including which in were the Sox didnt win ONE World Series 1918 - 2004.

This Season : LAST PLACE IN THE DIVISION. Yeah, their really good.

They are not, all the games that they played against the other sox, they lost because of their pitchers that kept waliking in runs and Guillen literally just made it worse!! Oh yeah, I'm sorry, they might have Logan, Crede, and they might've won 2005 WS, but I don't think that they could've made a comeback after being down 3-0 (in 2004) or 3-1(in 2007) could they??! And if they were, they would've at least gotten closer to the playoffs. LET'S GO RED SOX(the comeback team)!!

Putting Boone Logan and Joe Crede in the same sentence as the word "great" is making the word "great" meaningless.

The White Sox finished 24 games out of first this season - in other words, they were AWFUL.

They may be a great team to you which is fine, but currently the best team is the Red Sox for they just won the World Series in a sweep!

Yea!!!!! I love you!! The White Sox are awesome! just because we didn't have a great season last year doesn't mean a thing!! 05 was only two years ago and its nowhere near how long the Cubs haven't gone anywhere. Boone Logan is a great relief pitcher who doesn't get too much credit anymore. Joe Crede was the greatest player in 2005 and one of the best 3rd basemen the Sox AND the MLB has seen. Oh and too you red sox fans, guess who always takes the title after the you?????
muahahahahahha!!!!!

Sure they have great players but they didnt produce last year did they. sure you can't judge a team by one season, but then again they only won one world series in the 21st century.. not the greatest team in baseball.
