if i were an NHL player. the second I'm not helping my team any more. i don't care if it wrecks my chances at being remembered as anything but that guy who played way past his prime. as long as my team needs me I'm there every practice every game.

I did, 6 months ago I took early retirement, it's great, I've got a nice part time job, 2 hrs. a day, doesn't pay a lot, it gets me out of the house and gives me something to do. Yes, I can recommend this retirement lark.

Honestly, I don't want to. I'd work at something that would enable me to pursue my passions. Retirement doesn't run in my family anyway. Dad is 76 and Ma is 69 and both are still working (Dad part time, Ma full time) although they can afford to retire.

I wasn't aware my career even started. Hey where's my money? If I am making money like that without even playing a game then why should I retire?

Been retired since 1997.

Just don't tell my employer that because they think i have 25 years to go. :)

Or 22.5. Not sure if the magic number is 80 or 85.

Never. I will work 'til the day I die. I love teaching people.

To make it hockey related I'll be like Chelios. I'll retire when they f_ing drag my body off the ice!

>>>When I hit the lottery
>>>When I can sucker some rich old man into marrying me.
>>>When I invent a machine that mow your lawn or shovel your driveway while you watch TV
>>>When I organize my own pyramid scheme
>>>When Ed McMahon shows up at my front door with a 4 foot X 6 foot check.
