It is a tradition in my family. We put the tree up Thanksgiving night. So I don't think it is too early. Your family is usually together that day anyway. Why not put it up together!!!

I think that you should have your own family traditions. My husband and I put up our tree after the thanksgiving feast! We put on the Christmas music and decorate all night, then when you are worn out and stuffed with turkey , and cant move you lay on the couch and watch the lights till you pass out!
