No, unless it is intended to be disrespectful.
The vast majority of Jehovah's Witnesses do simply say "thank you" to expressions such as "happy birthday", or "merry Christmas", or "good luck", or "bless you".
At other times, the coworkers or neighbors of a Witness are fully aware of his religious convictions yet persist in expressing such ostensible good wishes (apparently in order to tease the Witness). Insincere expressions of that nature are less likely to be appreciated by Jehovah's Witnesses, and seem not to merit a 'thank you'.

The best thing to do with your Jehova's Witness friends is NOT send them a Christmas card. The only person who will get any type of joy out of the gesture would be you. Save yourself a stamp....

Jeovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Holidays....do not give them a Christmas Card....if you wnt to give them a gift, do not wrap it, and if you want to give them a card, just get a Thinking of you card...Respect their religion, they will tell you about it if you want to listen....a gift is ok but do not make it holiday oriented...they give many gifts, but they do it throughout the year, when they are thinking of someone...they don't save it all up for a special day!

You heard right! They don't celebrate birthdays, (birth of a baby even). I can tell you a story that happened at work. We didn't realize that this lady was a jahova Witness. We all took up a collection for her birthday, boy did we find out QUICK!!! We got her flowers, and she just carried them out to the other room and didn't say anything to us. Talk about a slap in the face.

It is usually dependent on how devout of a Jehovah's Witness they are!
Just to be on the safe side, I would go with a seasonal card instead!
Try something that says "Seasons Greetings" or "Best Wishes"..... And avoid using Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays!
Good luck!

You are right that they don't celebrate Christmas. I don't know if they would be offended by this or not. I know that the JW that comes to my door probably would, they would think that I am trying to convert them, which I am not. I think it depends on the person, some JW do have some type of celebration around this time, though.

I used to work with a girl who was one and we still gave her a christmas cards, she of course didn't send us one but we weren't sure whether to write her one or not! She wasn't offended as she knew this is what we believe in so she respected this, they are not against christmas they just don't celebrate it. Also when we did secret santa we got her a box of chocolates so she wasn't left out (we didn't wrap them up!).

Instead of a Christmas card, why don't you just send a "thinking of you" card with a little note. Everyone likes to know they're in your thoughts.

I'm not sure but last year my old school friend knocked on (she does this once or twice a year) she's a JW and as she left I shouted up the path ''Merry Christmas'' it wasn't until I got in my livingroom and saw my Mum and friend p*ssing themselves laughing that I'd realised what I'd said!
