the best present for an 14 year old wold probably be a laptop or digital camera.

If it is a girl, I would suggest a treat for a pedicure, manicure and a bottle of her favorite nail polish. If this is for a boy, I would suggest music if you know what they like and a gift certificate if you do not. Gift certificates to places like Barnes and Noble or Target are a good idea.

If you have money, give it to her. A lot of it!
Whatever you do, do not, I repeat DO NOT, buy her a Limited Too giftcard for any amount of money, same with JC Penney.
Or take her to a play or a on a shopping spree

Money. It's really simple and that way you don't have to ask them what they want and they can buy whatever they want. I wish my relatives would just do that. Plus it saves you the hassle of worrying if they'll like what you got.

If He was good in a sport or loved a sport give him sth. which is related to that sport ;if he likes soccer ,get him some team's uniform (like: England's). then he will be really happy.
