So I wrote this story/question... (Pretty funny I thought you should check it out here's a link http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aj_tz3aswpeQ1IpT2yo6.GPsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071110065925AA28QZ2 )

However, My wife did NOT find the humor in it and is draging my ole a** out for a new coat and pants.. am I the only husband out there that hates buying new stuff for myself? I would buy her the world but... I dun need anything as she IS my world so I'm good. Plus I hate shopping...

But ya, do other husbands dread the wife making you buy clothes?

I have to agree with your wife Jamus. If a guy thinks you are a beggar then it's time to get new clothes. She obviously loves you and wants you to look your best. She doesn't want people thinking that you are out there begging for money.

My wife hates to shop for clothes also. So I try to do it for her but eventually I get angry and make her go with me. I feel the same as you about not needing things. I don't spend money on myself but when I go shopping I always buy things for her. I have her I don't need anything else.

This is where Jack gets his definition as a "metrosexual".

I love to shop for clothes for myself, and prefer to do so for myself. The same is true for any luxury items that I might wish for; the sole exception is that Kerr knows I love Hugo Boss, so she knows that is always a safe gift for me.

The shopping I don't care for is the run of the mill drudgery shopping that makes up usual life. I also went with Kerr last year to an early sale the day after Thanksgiving and never wish to do that again.

Further shopping hells for me: I hate crowds and the claustrophobia of indoor shopping malls. The open-air malls are a rather different story, and a pleasure to visit, with their expansive and open feel.

Tops for me is Fashion Island; for those who haven't been there, it is a fantastic experience. Consider it a sort of amusement park of shopping, although not a place for modest budgets.

Most men hate shopping, that is why the wife has to buy their clothes. If the are single, some men will wear the same clothes till they fall off them.

I'm not married (yet), but I know all my friends buy clothes for their husbands because they will wear shirts with holes in it before going to the store to buy new!
I think it's because we women think men are handsome and like to see them in handsome clothes! It makes women feel good when their men dress up for them sometimes.

My wife knows my tastes and know what i do not like. when we shop for clothes I'll ask her what she thinks and she ll give me advise but it is ultimately my decision ... thing is my wife has good tastes so i can really complain.
