I expect it does interfere to some extent, the same as drinking alcohol could interfere. However, if done in moderation, I don't think it would be any big deal.

More than likely it'll affect your school work, whether better or worse depends on the person (and as some say, it doesn't affect it at all really). I know that for people with ADD it can help, I know a couple of people who have ADD and smoking then studying helps them concentrate.
I don't have ADD or anything like that, but sometimes I have concentration problems and I have found that when needing to do reading for class or a test (like, for history or english or something), smoking pot has helped me concentrate and absorb information better, especially when cramming for a test (I'm not someone who smokes on a daily basis). But to do it when studying for math or science or when writing a paper is a no-go, lol.
Like I said, it all just depends on the person. Smoking weed in general is bad for your short term memory (as far as I know it isn't permanent damage unless you smoke for years and years very heavily, I think, don't quote me on that).
P.s. Like someone else said, smoking it won't make you smarter, lol, but lots of smart people do smoke. It's one of those things that can be a catalyst that opens a floodgate of alternative thought, it can be a way to relax at the end of a stressful week, or it can become a psychological addiction and feed into someone becoming apathetic and lazy depeding on the individual.

It definitely affects school. I have known a lot of people who have gotten by whilst smoking pot, but after a year or two it starts to hurt them. If you have been using for a few years, it probably won't affect all that much. It slows you down, and, of course, you'll just be thinking about it a majority of the time while you study or do homework. Plus, the consequences of using an illegal substance while on a campus are pretty severe (not like they weren't severe enough already).

I only smoke it when I know I'm not having school the next day because I get the best sleep if I smoke it before bed. Pot makes me feel so relaxed and I just don't want to do anything when I'm high. So no it doesn't affect my school work, but I'm sure it would if I had to go to school high.

Well I would only smoke it when I don't have to study or having any assignment to do,or when I had enough time to kick back a while, it depends how much you smoke and if its mixed with anything El's,but its better for you to be fully concentrated and not smoke until you can kick back a bit.
OK Johnny be good .
Take care.

Check the next report card. If you got all A's, you're doing OK. If you don't know where your report card is, or you, stop. Good luck on getting a responsible job or a security clearance if you fail a drug test.

It depends on the person.
I know a man who smoked loads of weed in College and he got a masters in chemistry and a bachelors in philosophy. He eventually became a school teacher himself.
Personally it helps me FOCUS and absorb the world around me, I'm able to work better on weed.
