I am so intrigued to learn Mozart wrote William Tell (Rossini) and Carmina Burana (Carl Orff) or indeed the Wedding March (Mendelssohn or Wagner) and Fur Elise (Beethoven) Why do people answer questions when they apparently know nothing about the subject. Rant over, to answer your question. There are many, many classical composers, far to many to name, and they wrote 100s of thousands of works, again far to many to name. Yes, new 'bands' - orchestras, chamber groups, choral groups etc. are formed all the time. One 'band' which is fairly new and was a wow here in the UK during the Prom season was the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela

There are no classical bands. If you want information on classical music - just try wikipedia. Oh, and songs have lyrics, most of what is classified as classical music is instrumental.
