Please don't tell me the reasons you WOULD vote for someone else.
Just the reasons you would not vote for OBAMA.

You 1st.

Why would you VOTE FOR him?

He is too pro-illegal immigration. He voted to give illegals SS benefits even tho they had never paid into the system while in ILL. He voted for the Ammesty bill and the Dream Act. He co-sponsored an amendment that sais employers would not have to check legal status of present employees only new ones. He says he is against the war but wants more money for defense and supports the troops. Just where does he stand? He said while in ILL. he would expand the Social Services and then voted to cut them. He is a tyoical politician as he says one thing and does another.

Sure, I can give you several. He has great energy and charisma, but he lacks substance.. Much of what he advocates conflicts with his voting record. He cannot promise to withdraw the troops out by 2013, possibly later and has yet to present a proper exit strategy. He voted in favor of the Patriot Act.. which is a direct infringement on our rights. While I respect the fact that he spoke out against the war before he came into office, he later told the NY Times, had he been in the Senate he may have voted differently. And what about the economy, taxes, social security, not to mention a presidency with him may lead us into another war with Iran or Pakistan, one which he commented he would invade without the consent of the government, and the other where he missed the vote, and never spoke out against and attempted to sponsor a legislation in favor of designating the Iranian National Guard a terrorist organization (he also stated he wouldn't rule out strikes against them) .. And what about his votes making it harder for average citizens to sue big corporations? Not to mention he takes money from lobbyists, while denying it..

His major lack of experience at the national and foreign affairs level. He has not even completed one term in the Senate and has never held an executive level position that would show how he would deal with the diversity and bureaucracy of the federal government. We do not have time for on the job training.

He is a very good candidate and full of new ideas.

However he isn't doing well against Hillary, my bet is he'll win the next Democratic nomination in 2016. That way he'll have more practice with politics. His inexperience shows too greatly.

I won't vote for him because I feel he doesn't really support any change... he talks just like all the other Dems, sure he uses rhetoric to make himself sound different, but he doesn't have much to back that rhetoric up.

Because he's still too green and because we don't yet know enough about him. I might vote for him in another 5-9 years.

Because he is using his race to win... he is not an African American. He is a bi-racial American.
