One famous love myth is the story of Aphrodite and Adonis.
Here it goes! Aphrodite fell in love with Adonis, a handsome young man and keen hunter. Although she warned him to be careful of wild beasts unfortunately he didn't listen and was killed by a wild boar. At the sight of her dead lover she decided that the scene of Adonis death would be recreated annually and the drops of his blood would be transformed into a flower, the anemone.
