It's a three way tie.
Forty-two percent of Americans say they attend church or synagogue once a week or almost every week. The ranking by state:

STATE | PERCENTAGE

Alabama 58%

Louisiana 58%

South Carolina 58%

Mississippi 57%

Utah 55%

Arkansas 55%

Nebraska 53%

North Carolina 53%

Tennessee 52%

Georgia 52%

Christianian - to be Christ like
not a "state" that is Christ like
only the inhabitants of any state can be Christians and that is between them and their God
very few true Christians anywhere a lot of people who like to claim the title when it suits their needs. we are a group of states and a nation that likes titles it makes us feel good about ourselves.

Nebraska is not in the south
being more conservative does not make more Christian

Hmm....
Im guessing somewhere in the deep south....
Im from California, and live in California, and we're very diverse religion wise.....and I know for a fact that in the deep south--Probably tied between Alabama, MIssissippi, or Louisiana

This is really hard to guess--but im guessing them because they are 'right in' the bible belt....

You may guess a state like Texas, or Tenessee, or Oklahoma, or something like that, which are all states that are in the Bible Belt, but realistically, when you see voting maps of the states in red and blue (and purple), these DEEP south states are usually more redder, which makes up a more conservative population

All of them...you mean the most fundamental..or red necked and backwards,.. Difficult to say the Christian Right is everywhere, Washington, California, Florida, etc.. to hard to call, there are millions of mis-informed and racist neo-cons all over America, and unfortunately they are growing in numbers.. out of fear!!

I bet it's Alabama.
It might be Mississippi or Georgia though.
There are lots of Christians who attend worship in the South.

That's easy:Oklahoma.I used to live there,so I know.Oklahoma is the buckle of the Bible belt. The Baptist church is the state religion. This does not necessarily mean Oklahoma is the best place to live.If you cherish freedom, don't go there. But,if you like loud-mouthed preachers, people with room temperature IQs,using religion as an excuse to hate your neighbor, and Bible thumpers yelling at you from the street corners, then Oklahoma is the place for you.

I don't think there is a rating on State Christianity, but if you must, I think, Pennsylvania.

Do you mean Christian as in name only or Christian as in actually following the teachings of Christ and, in any case, of what relevance is it?
