You know in Chicago when you're riding the L and they have the map of the loop just above the door that people always steal? Is there anywhere you know of I can buy one of those maps?

People in most of the other comments seem to be talking about the fold-up maps of the system, which are available at most rail stations. The cards you're talking about are sold for $12 on the CTA's website here, toward the bottom of the page. They're called "Directional Maps". As of today, red line is out of stock but others are available.

Besides at the stations, there's a tourist information center at Michigan Av & Pearson St wher you can get them. You might even be able to call CTA and have them send you one if you're from out of town.

the wonderful thank you to pass could in all probability be take the orange line to the Ashland end, get off there and get a #9 bus heading to Irving Park. Take the #9 as much as the Ashland/Madison end, you could the two walk from there or take the #20 bus to the United center. take the #20 bus heading to Austin and it is generally interior some stops. employing Metra from o.ok.backyard, basically take the practice heading to Union Station. once you get off at Union Station you may walk north alongside Clinton to Madison and look ahead to the #20 bus heading to Austin. The end is stated as Madison & United center.
