Whatever you do, don't "tramp" it up, OK?

Learn to sew. I began sewing at your age and made all my clothes with a few exceptions (I hate doing slacks) And I never followed fashion. I made and wore what I like. At my school I set the trends because I never had on what everyone else wore. I can make a dress for $5 to $10. and a shirt for $3 to $10. One time I wanted a cape, not a coat and couldn't find one. So I bought some nice wool and made 3 reversible capes, one was black/blackplaid, and the other brnstrip/beige. I trimmed them with some fur and they were gorgeous and I spent less that $60 for both of them. And then left the black one in an airport. I was so mad. But I would have been extremely upset if I had paid $300. like some I saw in the stores.

And by doing your sewing, you can pick up great buys at recycle shops and remake them.

Choose clothes that flatter you: they should fit, and be neat and clean with a crisp appearance. Ask a friend or a sales assistant if you're not sure that an outfit suits you.
Choose what you like. If you enjoy dressing preppy, a polo or two are a must. Enjoy what you wear, clothing should be fun.
Keep up with the latest trends, only to know what's in style.
Add a couple of accessories - for example, a watch, ribbon or belt.Know that good quality shoes are a must. Wear something that matches your personal style as well as the outfit you are wearing.
Don't go over the top (for example, don't wear all leopard print - well, don't wear leopard print at all - unless you know what you are doing.
Try not to look fake; don't wear something if it's not you.
Be daring and unique! if you like leopard print, maybe go for a leopard print headband.
Go for variety. For example, if you like pink, try different shades, not just bubblegum pink; there's dusty pink, baby pink, fairy floss pink etc.
Find more than 1 pair of jeans, (a dressy pair, a casual pair, an 'outdoors' pair (especially handy when camping) and an 'at home' pair). Jeans are lifesavers, especially on those days that you can find nothing to wear, try jeans with any top, a cute pair of shoes, maybe a belt, and off you go!
Mix 'n' match from previous seasons.
Black pants and denim are compulsory!Discover your style. Whether its loud and proud or plain and pretty follow it through! Look at fashion magazines for ideas, but don't let yourself be pressured into looking "sexy" before you and your parents are ready.
Hit the mall and buy some cute outfits according to your style. Abercrombie and Hollister tend to be on the expensive side so try Aeropostale or Wet Seal. Check out discount stores like Target, TJ Maxx, or Kohl's. In addition to buying the latest trends, buy wardrobe staples like tank tops and neutrals.
Buy some shoes and accessories to go with your new outfits. Fake pearls and diamonds are essentials, as are headbands and hair clips, but also check out funky, chunky accessories. Buy shoes according to the weather; flip-flops in the summer, Uggs (again, discount stores - try Target for some comfy Ugg-like boots) in the winter.
Be yourself! It's not hard at all. If you're not yourself, its not worth it! Be yourself and people will like you for you.

You can have patterned anywhere you like! i love the stores aeropostal, abercrombie, rue 21, Hollister, and a lot others! hope this helps! i really want to be picked as best answer

I would go to forever 21, rue 21 or eve TJ maxx. They have cute clothes that are really cheap. You just need to find clothes that you like, don't try to wear what all the other kids wear, find your own style that makes you unique!

layer is good, don't try to match colors, just blend so that they kinda cordinate together. Just play around with your clothes, youll be surprised at what you can layer. take a tanktop, like a really bright spagetti strap one and put it over a white t-shirt. take a long sleeve **** and put a blouse over it. take a high v-neck and lower v-neck and put the higher one under the lower one.
