i know spending this on the commonwealth games is good for Britain, but wouldnt it be better spent on a charity or our troops in iraq/afghanistan?

The real point is that it doesn't actually cost £300 million. Most of that money will be going straight to the pockets of some very dodgy men.

I say withdraw the troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and then spend 600 million on the games.

Think how much is being spent on the 2012 olympics, for what, a fortnight of games.

If it wasn't going to be spent on what it's being spent on now, what chance would it have funding charity and war?!? It's not gunna happen!

Half to the soldiers so they can go and shoot people.
Then the other half to the remains of the villagers who do not get shot.
Yes that sounds about right.

yea!! every one moans about it. but try to get them to get off their arses and rally againced it and you quickly see why Britain is a crooks and con artists dream. they say pay me. we say OK!! how much.
