I really don't think he does have a chance at winning the nomination. Guiliani seems to be the clear cut front runner. I also think people realize that Guiliani has the best chance to beat Hilary, so that will affect the voting for the republican primary.

Thompson has no chance at the Repub nomination. It's a two horse race, Rudy and Mitt, neither of which will win the presidency.

At this point it's anyone's guess who will actually end up on the ticket. We still have quite a bit of time for mistakes to be made or popularity to be gained.
