I would have, but there was no sesame street when I was a kids. I did watch Uncle Fred's Junior Frolics with silent cartoons with captions. Farmer Grey was the lead Character.
I never missed Howdy Doody Or Andy's Gang , Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello , Rudy kazutee, and Our Gang Comedies.
Sometimes The east side kids also known as the Bowery boys would come on. Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, the Cisco kid, The Lone Ranger and Hop-along Cassidy.
I loved them all.

That show is still in my head. When my daughter was three, I had her sing the opening song on our answering machine. I still have the tape of her voice singing....Sunny Day, sweeping the clouds away..On My way to where the air is sweet. Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street ? Sunny Day, Every thing's A-okay......
Way back when I worked in retail, one of my co-workers and I would sing the song about One Of These Things Don't Belong....One of these things don't look like the other.....
Because people would pick something up and then decide they didn't want it and just throw it down somewhere else. I tell you, if we did not sing that childhood song, we would have gone insane :))))

Whadda ya mean "As a child?"
Heavens, it didn't come on till I was in my twenties.
It shoulda started sooner, cuz then Ah wouldna be such a dumbell (dumbbell) in spellin'.
I wouldna have such cravings fer cookies.
I'd be living in a garbage can too.
I am a firm believer that ALL immigrants (adults too) should watch every show, not only will they be "indoctrinated" into our North American lifestyle, but they will learn the language well and have fun doing it.
;-)
