I've looked all over the politics forum and can't find many intelligent Q's to answer. What happened to all the insightful posters.

In the fingers of the writers. Be care you seem so worry about all of the those who has been reported but isn't you doing almost the same thing. My drill sergeant would say that the only dump question is one you are afraid to ask. We don't need for people to be afraid to ask or answer a question. If you don't like a question just don't answer it. If no one or just a few answer that should tell the asker something.

I've never really seen any. I came on here a lot months ago and it was about the same - a moderated flame-war.
What I see is pretty much what I see in the "real world" two intransigent sets of values and opinions that have no respect for each other and refuse to see their own shortcomings or hold themselves intellectually accountable.
I see a lot of unsupported and unresearched opinion posing as fact, a refusal to investigate positions further, and sources that are questionable at best (blogs. political sites, etc.).
I don't know if people are serious or just screwing about. I came in serious and thought I could sway people or understand them better, but I disabused myself of that notion pretty fast.
And I'm willing to admit that I fan these flames because at this point its just fun.

After reading your profile I suggest you read Zell Millers book, "A National Party No More" I'm in that age group that remembers the Conservative Democrats and when at times it was a tough choice for whom to vote. Republicans or Democrats.
